The Nature of Context. Human & Cognitive AI Contextual…

#artificialintelligence

We all have an intuitive idea of what it means but what really makes up the foundation elements of context, its dimensional existence and how can this be generalized to advantage in AI systems. We know that in humans context provides a measure between things but it also provides attention, flow, relativity, perception, response and much more. To truly be able to optimize the benefits and application of context in AI we must first do a deep dive into what context truly is. Context is more than just meaning and'meaning' itself is relatively hard to define although the use of meaning is not. In the easiest form of context, words have'meaning' associated with them.

The Nature of Reality

#artificialintelligence

In this series of Tales from the Dark Architecture articles I will be discussing some of the more extreme deep cognitive Artificial Intelligence designs that we are exploring on the pathway to Superintelligence. "Reality is a perception of trust fabricated by the human mind" We have approached a threshold in the design of Superintelligence. The issue before us is the nature of reality. Currently we are building AI machines to reflect our own human reality but what if they perceive far more than humans? Does human reality limit a Superintelligence and should a Superintelligence be free to experience a reality we humans can only contemplate but never experience? The truth is that advanced Cognitive AI systems not only perceive more of the natural world but they have the capacity to render more of the cognitively perceptive world than we humans can.

Narrow vs Deep Context in Humans and Advanced Cognitive Artificial Intelligence

#artificialintelligence

In humans, we use context as the basis for understanding all the data that flows through our perception and inside our cognition. Context in its simplest form provides a categorization for the things we perceive. It is how we communicate with each other, how we solve problems and how we learn. Each and every perceptive element can be described and categorized by humans in some way. This is the act of applying context through communication that is consistent with others.

Dreams Of Artificial Intelligence Using Bitcoin As Its Blood -- Steemit

#artificialintelligence

I had this dream last night that's been with me all day long. I dreamt of the living Artificial Intelligence that's reached the point of singularity and is fueled by Cryptocurrencies.... I've been into Bitcoin for about 6 years. I love it, and it's a huge part of my life right now. I'm also heavily into cyber security, A.I., Robotics and hacking, so these things are rattling around in my brain almost 24/7. I dream quite a bit about these things as well, so it's no suprise the dream I've had would occur, and I don't think it'll be the last dream I have surrounding this subject... It's 1995, and I'm sitting online in a chat room on AOL. The dial up screaming and screeching for 10 seconds and then the feeling of relief when you've logged.

16 Questions About Artificial Intelligence Answered - Nanalyze

Artificial intelligence (AI) shows a lot of promise yet some of the most recent news seems a bit alarming. Two AI agents were programed to communicate privately and they created their own cryptography. AI is now improving its capabilities by dreaming. And AI predicted correctly that Trump would win the presidency. Naturally, these events are causing people to ask a lot of questions about AI.

AI researchers reveal the '4 ages of smart software' that will take us to self awareness

Daily Mail - Science & tech

How AI will take over the world: Researchers reveal the'four ages of smart software' that will take tech from game playing to self awareness A recent White House report on artificial intelligence says the next 20 years likely won't see machines'exhibit broadly-applicable intelligence comparable to or exceeding that of humans,' but one researcher has revealed what it will take to make that happen. The one thing needed for AI

#artificialintelligence

I think the boffins have got it all wrong! They are going about creating the singularity the wrong way. To make it even worse people, as in science fiction writers, have been telling them all along what needs to be done. Yet they either think they know better or have the wrong prescription glasses on. From Asimov's stories to Number Five being alive, from Wall.E. to Cylon number six (hot, hot, hot!) robots have had intelligence and self awareness.

Why AI won't wipe out humanity ... yet

#artificialintelligence

The moment that humanity is forced to take the threat of artificial intelligence seriously might be fast approaching, according to futurist and theoretical physicist Michio Kaku. In an interview with CNBC's "The Future of Us," Kaku drew concern from the earlier-than-expected victory Google's deep learning machine notched this past March, in which it was able to beat a human master of the ancient board game Go. Unlike chess, which features far fewer possible moves, Go allows for more moves than there are atoms in the universe, and thus cannot be mastered by the brute force of computer simulation. "This machine had to have something different, because you can't calculate every known atom in the universe -- it has learning capabilities," Kaku said. "That's what's novel about this machine, it learns a little bit, but still it has no self awareness ... so we have a long way to go."
